**What will you work on?**
As an eCommerce Data Analyst, you will hold a key strategic role combining market research/eCommerce analytics with data engineering/science capabilities. Reporting into the Director, eCommerce Analytics, you will analyze category/competitive trends, support our eCommerce team with micro-level eCommerce insights, while supporting our data initiatives to collect, clean and analyze eCommerce data sets.
**How will you create impact?**
Market Research eCommerce Analytics (50%)
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPI’s) against benchmarks on various time horizons.
- Provide research and analysis on future licenses, brands and “size of the prize” evaluations for Sales/GBUs to assist with business planning.
- Develop key reporting solutions and a weekly/monthly cadence for category and competitor ecommerce profiles/SWOT analyses.
- Provide monthly and ad-hoc ecommerce toy industry reports recapping performance/trends and linking with other data sources such as Circana.
- Act as key point of contact internally for ad-hoc sales and share reporting for cross-functional teams including Customer Account Teams (Sales), Global Business Units (Brand), COEs, MA and Marketing Analytics. Provide key reports and insights from industry data on an ongoing basis.
- Conduct deep dives into specific competitors' performance, drivers of growth/decline and ecommerce strategies
- Conduct micro and macro-economic predictive models for the channel/retailer/brand
- Assist in general eCommerce data analytics tasks as needed
Data Engineering/Automation (30%)
- Build maintain ETL pipelines in Domo to collect, clean and present data from Amazon APIs, scraped data and other sources using no-code Domo solutions
- Leverage AutoML in Domo to build, run, and maintain Machine Learning Models to optimize performance and illuminate opportunities on sales, customer behavior and scraped external data
- Build, maintain and own web scraping workflows using no-code tools like Power Automate/UI Path, or leveraging Python
- Initiate and maintain standards for data integrity, reporting standardization and tool updates.
- Work cross-functionally with sales teams, marketing managers and data scientists to support strategic initiatives and projects
Data Science (20%)
- Leverage AutoML in Domo to build, run, and maintain Machine Learning Models to optimize performance and illuminate opportunities on sales, customer behavior and scraped external data
- Leverage python to build reports and visualizations using eCommerce data
**What are your skills and experience?**
- Relevant analytical experience; CPG or eCommerce experience is a plus
- Basic Python knowledge is highly valued. Experience in the following libraries is considered an asset but not required; pandas, BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Selenium, Airflow, matplotlib and seaborn
- Knowledge in SQL is an asset but not required
- Experience in Domo is an asset (Connectors, Magic ETL, Cards, AutoML)
- Experience with Power BI and Power Query is an asset
- Experience in eCommerce/retail SaaS products such as CommerceIQ, Stackline, Profitero, Pacvue, Circana, Analytic Index, Helium10 is an asset
- Proficiency in Excel/Co-Pilot is an asset
- Familiarity with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity or Gemini is an asset
