IDC Canada is looking for a
**Research Analyst **to join our Data and Analytics team on a full-time basis for a permanent opportunity.

Reporting to the Research Manager of IDC Canada’s Market Insights and Analytics, the
**Research Analyst** will support IDC’s Data and Analytics Practice as part of the team that supports a group of analysts to foster and maintain client engagements and forecasting efforts for IT and Communications market models.

The
**Research Analyst** will be responsible for maintaining current data models, as well as conducting research to support the IDC analysts.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage various local and global assignments, support the delivery of custom consulting projects and ensure project milestones/deliverables are met
- Conduct research on macro-economic and IT trends to assist global/local consulting projects and local analyst teams
- Ability to compile, analyze, and interpret large amounts of data using Microsoft Excel (and Microsoft Access)
- Perform data analysis, market sizing & forecasting and segmentation by industry, customer region, and customer size, etc.
- Establish and manage quality control procedures to ensure data integrity
- Present key findings and results to internal (and external clients, if needed)

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree (Business, Economics or statistics preferred)
- 2+ years' experience, including academic projects or internships
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft’s suite of products such as Excel and PowerPoint
- Self-motivated, able to work in a team and demonstrates the ability to work independently
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels
- Ability to manage expectations of multiple internal stakeholders
- Basic business analysis experience
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-project deadline driven environment
