**INTRODUCTION** The Manager, eCommerce (“MaComm") contributes to Metal Supermarkets’ development and is based in our Toronto Head Office. The MaComm is responsible for the creation, oversight and implementation of eCommerce initiatives and results. The MaComm will take ownership, mentor their staff, and partner and collaborate with management team members, outside vendors and franchisees to implement eCommerce initiatives in a primarily franchise business model. **COMPENSATION: $100,000** **OBJECTIVES** The MaComm oversees eCommerce strategies and efforts to strengthen our brands’ eCommerce market position, achieve desired revenues, profitability, and market share goals including, (in cooperation with the Director, Marketing and Communication as applicable) advertising, marketing, profit and loss for all web-based products. The MaComm oversees or directly manages a variety of tasks and responsibilities with creativity, accuracy and timeliness. A practical and pragmatic leader, the MaComm leads and develops Metal Supermarket’s eCommerce including supervising the eCommerce Customer Care staff and working with outside contractors. The MaComm is expected to challenge the status quo and conventional thinking to drive brand, group and franchisee success. The MaComm is also expected to add efficiency, systems, procedures and creatively to the group. **PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES** - To support an engaged, trusting and mutually profitable relationship between franchisees and the franchisor - Design, manage, execute and oversee eCommerce initiatives within approved strategies, key performance indicators and budgets - Work in concert with the Director, Marketing and Communication to ensure the Brand Marketing Funds are promoting eCommerce, brand and store success while ensuring compliance with franchise agreements - Delegate, mentor, and develop staff including recommending continued development initiatives while ensuring high quality work product and deadline achievement - Manage the continued development of Metal Supermarkets Ecommerce platform from a marketing perspective, working to ensure optimal site performance, aesthetics and functionality to maximize customer acquisition traffic and conversion to generate sales and operating efficiency - Coordinates and collaborates with the Director, Marketing and Communication to schedule, coordinate, and execute of online marketing and merchandising campaigns, SEO improvements and roadmap and associated content to complete eCommerce success - Participate in the overall project management on eCommerce platforms to include project planning, analysis of reports and technical developments - Review advertising and marketing materials, public and internally developed research, internal statistics and performance information to ensure data and reports are properly employed to make evidence-based, well-conceived and supported business recommendations and decisions - Continuously analyze data to identify best practices to increase eCommerce customer loyalty, retention and satisfaction - Support the development, maintenance, adherence and constant improvement of best practices and brand standards through documented manuals, policies and procedures and oversight encouraging the full and proper use of the eCommerce System while complying with legal and regulatory requirements - Advise on internal resource optimization and investment to ensure the achievement of goals - Manage budgets and teams to deliver short, medium and long-term eCommerce results - Attend virtually or in-person approved conferences and educational programs to ensure knowledge of best practices and technology are up to date - Other duties may be assigned or re-assigned from time to time on our notice and reporting relationships may be altered **ATTRIBUTES** - A strong understanding of responsibilities and possesses the knowledge and skills required to perform at a high level - Credible and mature leadership skills - University degree in a relevant field and an in-depth knowledge and grasp of internet, eCommerce, financial and related analytics - Previous experience in general marketing and at least 4 years’ specific eCommerce experience. - Outstanding communication, presentation, project and time-management, interpersonal and communication skills - Strong sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the group’s and franchisee’s financial success with a strong team orientation - Critical thinking and problem-solving skills **IMPORTANT RELATIONSHIPS** - North America and United Kingdom Senior Management Teams - eCommerce support staff, IT and Marketing Team - Third Party Service and Product Providers **ABOUT US** The Metal Supermarkets Family of Companies is a multi-national, Canadian owned franchisor founded and headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario.
