Brighton Launch Adult Program is an amazing, all-inclusive program for young adults with exceptionalities, ages 18+ that focuses on job preparation, work placement, skills for independent living, social skills, development of recreation and leisure pursuits, and increasing functional abilities in all areas. Whatever the destination, we help prepare young adults for “lives of success” by considering all of the factors that contribute to a well-rounded and fulfilling adult life.

Position Summary:
Working in a team environment, you will provide individualized support to a young adult with challenges using the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). You will assist assigned students with successfully navigating the program schedule and daily activities. The Launch program takes place at the Launch site (for classroom-based learning); and also in the community (shopping, transit) and at assigned Workplaces (Work Experience program).

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide direct coaching to young adults to assist them in accessing the program
- Implement student specific goals and behaviour programs based on ABA principles and individual Key Goals
- Collect data to track progress
- Collaborate with a team of facilitators/support workers and the Program Manager

Qualifications:

- College diploma or university degree in behaviour science, child/youth related program
- 3+ years experience working with teens/adults with developmental disabilities and/or minor behaviour challenges
- Knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis/behaviour Management is an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate, with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

**Job Types**: Both Full-time and part time positions are available. Part time availability is for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Contract length: 10 months

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 38.75 per week

- Monday to Friday

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Working with persons with developmental disabilities: 3 years (required)

Work Location: In person
