**Position Overview**: The Communications and Marketing Coordinator develops and implements all communication and marketing strategies for BCLNA. The Coordinator is responsible for promoting and enhancing the organization's outreach, image and brand that is set forth by the Executive Director and Board members. This role involves a combination of design, content creation, coordination with staff and members, as well as administrative tasks to track all project success. Project highlights include: special events, tradeshow, Plant Something BC, Japanese Beatle eradication and much more
**Key Responsibilities: - Internal Communications**:

- Assist in the development and distribution of member communications, such as newsletters and announcements and the Annual Report.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather information for communication materials.
- Content Creation:

- Create and coordinate content in writing, editing content for various communication channels, including e-blasts, newsletters, event promotion, website content, and social media posts.
- Design visually appealing and engaging materials, such as presentations, promotional material graphics, and photos.
- Event Support:

- Create the branding and marketing plan for events
- Support the promotion, planning and execution of events, such as fundraisers, membership drives, and networking events.
- Website Maintenance:

- Update and maintain the organization's website with current and relevant content.
- Ensure the website reflects the organization's brand and messaging.
- Social Media Management:

- Monitor and update social media accounts to ensure consistent and relevant content.
- Engage with followers, respond to comments, and participate in social media discussions.
- Analytics and Reporting:

- Monitor and analyze the performance of communication efforts using analytics tools.
- Provide regular reports on key performance indicators and suggest improvements based on data.

**Qualifications**: - Diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree is an asset but not required.
- Demonstrated experience with creation software such as Canva and Adobe Suite.
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.
- Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing, SEO and web traffic metrics.
- Proficiency in creating content for and using social media platforms and analyzing performance metrics. Experience with Hootsuite is an asset.
- Experience with Microsoft Office is required.
- Experience with project or task management software is preferred, such as Monday, Asana, or Trello.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
