CSI is opening a **new sector in Canada** This expansion creates opportunities for Field Inspectors to join our growing team, performing vehicle inspections at car dealerships while enjoying flexible, part-time work close to home.
**Position Overview**:
CSI is seeking **detail-oriented, self-motivated Field Inspectors** with a strong focus on **vehicle and equipment inspections**. You will conduct inspections at dealerships, equipment rental businesses, and other borrower locations to ensure lenders have accurate, up-to-date information about their financed inventory. This role allows you to set your own schedule while performing inspections locally.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Conduct **floor plan inspections** at automotive, truck, and construction equipment dealerships.
- Verify vehicles and equipment, cross-check serial numbers, and confirm models.
- Document inventory discrepancies (e.g., in stock, on demo, rented, sold) and resolve status questions.
- Travel to offsite locations, such as repair shops or storage facilities, to photograph collateral as needed.
- Perform **equipment inspections** at customer sites, confirming the presence and condition of leased or financed assets.
- Complete **site inspections** for lenders, including interior and exterior assessments, as requested.
- Take high-quality digital photos and upload them to CSI’s reporting system.
- Prepare accurate, detailed inspection reports in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with CSI’s team to provide updates and resolve issues.
**What We’re Looking For**:
- Reliable transportation with the ability to travel locally (within an hour of your location).
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions precisely.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Comfortable using mobile technology (smartphones/tablets) and web-based reporting systems.
- Flexible weekday availability (10:00 AM to 4:00 PM) and ability to complete reports within required timelines.
- Physically able to climb into vehicles, walk through business locations, and inspect equipment safely.
**Preferred Experience**:
- Background in **vehicle, equipment, or collateral inspections**.
- Experience in auditing, automotive, or financial industries.
- Prior fieldwork or inspection experience is a plus.
