Junior Production Technician for Medical Devices

**Job Overview**
We are seeking a motivated Junior Production Technician with a keen interest in hands-on work and a willingness to learn. This is a full-time, permanent role where you will gain valuable experience and training in a production environment for medical devices, including exposure to ISO 13485 standards. This position is a full time permanent position reporting to the Production Manager.

**Responsibilities**:
Assembly and Soldering

Perform basic soldering tasks on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and connectors.

Install components and connectors following provided instructions and procedures.

Assist in fabricating cables, parts, and fixtures under supervision.

Prepare and arrange components according to specified standards.

Perform minor rework on PCBs as needed, ensuring care is taken with other components.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace regularly.

Calibration & Testing

Assist in organizing and maintaining test jigs and equipment.

Support running test and calibration software under guidance.

Inspect and test value-added assemblies before shipment.

Notify supervisors of any deviations or issues during testing and calibration.

Record data and assist with tracking assemblies and sub-assemblies.

Quality Responsibility:
Ensure documented procedures are followed, with individual signoff and accountability for each manufactured product. As a medical device, all components must be fully traceable to the individual responsible and the date of production.

All employees are responsible to know and understand our Quality Policy and to be familiar with the Quality Manual.

In addition to task specific quality responsibilities, each employee is responsible to communicate and follow up on quality issues in our product or our business processes that they encounter using the tools in our processes. Each employee has a part to play in ensuring we provide a quality product in a timely manner to customers.

We are all responsible to improve our business processes in our areas.

Other Responsibilities as Assigned

Skills and Knowledge:
Basic knowledge of electronics components and tools.

Ability to perform precise hand soldering with training.

Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.

Willingness to follow health and safety policies.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Skills (Asset):
Familiarity with technical standards (e.g., IPC) or prior exposure to blueprint and schematic interpretation.

Certification or training in IPC J-STD-001 (can be provided on the job).

**Education**:
Diploma in Electronics or a related field (2-year program).

**Experience**:
Recent graduate or up to 1 year of related experience. Relevant coursework or hands-on projects are a strong plus.

Training

On-the-job training will be provided, including certification opportunities for relevant industry standards.

Relationships:
The Junior Production Technician will work closely with the Production Manager and team members to support daily operations and promote positive working relationships

Pay: $38,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
