**OBJECTIVE**:
**PART TIME RECREATION STAFF**:
We are looking for presentable, reliable part-time staff that are self-motivated, personable and interested in the fitness/social field, experience in the recreation field is a definite asset.

Our part time staff works in the recreation facility providing customer service, pool maintenance and running variety of leisure activities.

The shifts are Weekdays & Weekends. Weekdays: 8:30am to 4:30pm / 4:30pm to 10:00pm. Weekends: Saturday - 9:45am to 6:00pm / Sunday - 10:45am to 5:00pm.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provide safety supervision of the recreation centre facilities and ensure safe and proper use of its amenities.
- Monitor access to the facility and enforce all facility rules and regulations without exception.
- Provide a competent reception service, including but not limited to; greeting members, answering phones.
- Complete COVID-19 screening questions, taking temperatures with thermal thermometer and ensuring all members/individuals are using hand sanitizer before entering the facility.
- Complete court bookings, equipment bookings and program and /or membership transactions as required.
- Complete all daily reporting as required.
- Complete water chemistry and pool/spa maintenance as required.
- Complete all tasks as required and assigned by Manager and/or On Duty Supervisor in relation to the operation of your work location.
- Maintain cleanliness of the fitness room including:

- Cleaning machines, cardio equipment and upholstery mats on a daily basis;
- Making sure all weights and dumbbells are on the racks at all times;
- Ensure that all paper towel dispensers and water bottles are fully stocked.
- Complete facility inspections of fitness room, gym, squash courts, racquetball courts hourly and record.
- To be familiar with the facility emergency procedures, and to assist in any emergency situation.
- To maintain all required qualifications.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Standard First Aid and CPR C with AED.
- Fitness Instruction qualifications preferred.
- Knowledge of pool filtration system, chemicals, backwash etc.
- Knowledge of exercise equipment.
- Knowledge of conditioning techniques.
- Knowledge of fitness assessment and exercise counselling.

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:

- Recreation Attendant: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid CPR-C Certification (required)
