Are you looking for an interesting and rewarding part time experience? Our part time staff works in the recreation facility providing customer service, pool maintenance and running variety of leisure activities. The part time shifts are Weekdays & Weekends.

We are looking for presentable, reliable part-time staff that are self-motivated, personable and interested in the fitness/social field, experience in the recreation field is a definite asset.

Shifts: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday - 8:00am to 5:00pm.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provide safety supervision of the recreation centre facilities and ensure safe and proper use of its amenities.
- Monitor access to the facility and enforce all facility rules and regulations without exception.
- Provide a competent reception service, including but not limited to; greeting members, answering phones.
- Complete court bookings, equipment bookings and program and /or membership transactions as required.
- Complete all daily reporting as required.
- Complete water chemistry and pool/spa maintenance as required.
- Complete all tasks as required and assigned by Manager and/or On Duty Supervisor in relation to the operation of your work location.
- Maintain cleanliness of the fitness room including:

- Cleaning machines, cardio equipment and upholstery mats on a daily basis;
- Making sure all weights and dumbbells are on the racks at all times;
- Ensure that all paper towel dispensers and water bottles are fully stocked.
- Complete facility inspections of fitness room, gym, squash courts, racquetball courts hourly and record.
- To be familiar with the facility emergency procedures, and to assist in any emergency situation.
- To maintain all required qualifications.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Standard First Aid and CPR C with AED.
- Fitness Instruction qualifications preferred.
- Knowledge of pool filtration system, chemicals, backwash etc.
- Knowledge of exercise equipment.
- Knowledge of conditioning techniques.
- Knowledge of fitness assessment and exercise counselling.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.20 per hour

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

- Recreation Attendant: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid/CPR-C Certification (required)
