Ryu is an upscale Japanese restaurant looking to hire an energetic and friendly **Host/ess**.

**AVAILABILITY**:Part-time, Full-time
**LOCATIONS**:Downtown (1474 Peel ) & Griffintown (388 Richmond)

**DESCRIPTION**
- Welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant, escort them to their tables with menus, providing a positive and friendly first impression.
- Manage the reservation book and seat guests in an organized and efficient manner.
- Assist in managing the flow of the dining room, optimizing seating arrangements to accommodate reservations and walk-in guests.
- Answer phone calls and take reservations, providing accurate information about availability and restaurant services.
- Collaborate with the waiting staff to ensure a positive dining experience for all guests.
- Monitor the dining room and alert servers to any specific needs or requests from guests.
- Maintain a neat and organized hostess stand, ensuring menus and promotional materials are available and up-to-date.
- Communicate effectively with guests to estimate wait times and manage reservations.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests with professionalism and courtesy.
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Min 2 years of experience as a Host, Busser or similar work experience
- Be punctual, ambitious and a team player
- Must be bilingual: French and English
