You're a seasoned carpenter, and are confident mentoring others, providing the necessary training and feedback for success

**DETAIL OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**1. **Planning and Execution**
- Manage labour and material budgets, deliveries and execution according to estimate quantities
- Supervise, coordinate, and oversee the daily work activities of a crew of **2 to 5** employees
- Meet with subcontractors and supervise quality, efficiency, and deadlines
- Operate various hand tools and equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications to delegate/complete work activities
- Build a variety of wooden structures in the landscape, including:

- Decks with assorted decking types
- Aluminum, glass, and wood railings
- Wood and metal fences and decorative screens
- Timber pergolas
- Pavilions, Cabanas, Gazebos
- Install concrete footings in ground
- Assist with the installation of various landscape elements
- Work alongside Landscape Construction Crew Leaders at times
- Continuously seek to eliminate/minimize waste and inefficiencies to meet targets

**2. **Leadership and Mentoring**
- Demonstrate role model behaviour, positive promotion of company culture and professionalism
- Work together with the Landscape Mentor and HR as required to train and upskill various crew members on woodworking techniques
- Actively participate in team meetings, including the foreman group, production meetings, and company wide
- Participate with the onboarding and training of various crew members, according to company outlines
- Conduct performance reviews for your direct reports, create goals, and give guidance

**3. **Organization and Equipment Care**
- Assign and oversee preventative maintenance on tools and equipment including inspections, lubricating, and cleaning on a daily basis
- Assign and oversee standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and crew staging areas at shop/yard

**4. **Safety and Quality Standards**
- Ensure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner
- Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations
- Ensure high levels of quality on all completed work
- Consistently build projects according to Hutten written Standards

**5. **Project Reporting**
- Fill out electronic timekeeping records for all crew member daily
- Submit daily material packing slips daily

- You are comfortable using smartphone apps
- You accurately record crew hours by task, and materials used daily
