This position supports the INR & Stroke Neurology sector. The Clinical Specialist (CS) collaborates with the Territory Manager and Commercial Sector Leader focusing on responsibilities for clinical coverage (e.g., support of device implantation and other procedures), follow-up support, troubleshooting, customer service, customer training and operational assistance (e.g., consignment counts, equipment updates, etc.). Fuel field insights in the creation and contribute to the execution of new agreements via business model innovations which will drive stronger, broader, value-based customer relationships.
**A day in the life.**
- _Conducts on-site education and / or consulting. _
- _Supports field personnel in providing the best possible outcomes and service for Medtronic customers. _
- _Partners with sales colleagues to develop and execute plans of sales for within one or more business unit(s). _
- _Participates in conventions, forums, and meetings to increase product awareness. _
- _Works closely with Clinical Lead, Clinical Management and Regional Sales team to provide customer case and sales support. _
- _Identifies and facilitates execution on growth opportunities with Sales and Clinical Support Team. _
- _Serves as a technical resource to support sales of a specific medical product or solution. _
- _Responsible for reporting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR) _
- Work closely with Territory Manager(s) and / or Commercial Sector Leader to schedule procedure and post-op support.
- Successful completion of required (and ongoing) product and sales related training curriculum.
- Compliance with completing Medtronic functional training and education modules.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, including clinicians, fellows, residents, nursing staff, Medical Imaging Management, Biomed, etc.
- Align with Manager on special projects (e.g., Building customer training programs, conducting market research/analysis, review competitive products and activities, etc.).
- Work collaboratively with entire team to help achieve revenue and market share targets.
- Report all Product Complaints as per Medtronic policy.
- Maintain, manage and track Loaner and Consignment inventory.
**Must Have.**:
- _High School Diploma or GED, _Associate degree, or; _Bachelor’s degree _
- _A Bachelor's degree and currently enrolled in a certificate program from a pacing school like ATI or PrepMD _
- _Minimum 6 years of work experience in the healthcare or engineering field, with an High School Diploma or GED, or _
- _Minimum 4 years of work experience in the healthcare or engineering field, with an Associate degree, or; Minimum of 2 years of work experience in the healthcare or engineering field, with a bachelor’s degree, or; _Minimum 3 years of any prior professional experience, with a bachelor’s degree and currently _enrolled in a certificate program from a pacing school like ATI or PrepMD.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
- High level of integrity, ethics and compliance.
- Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule. Role often involves evenings, weekends and Provincial holidays.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Collaborative approach and team oriented.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Bilingual language skills (French & English) is required
- Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time. Travel will include over-nights and weekends.
- Ability to assist in other territories in Canada if required
**Nice to have.**
- Bachelor degree in Science, biology, biophysics, biochemistry, nursing, neurosciences, or other relevant specialty.
- Minimum 3 years experience in relevant healthcare space. Clinical experience gained either as an employee of a hospital or as an external vendor
- Experience in hospital education or hospital sales
