**About the Role**:Poco Building Supplies is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious **HIAB / Crane Truck Driver** to join our team. This is a Teamsters Local Union No.31 position. This role involves delivering construction materials to various job sites while ensuring a high standard of safety, professionalism, and customer service.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Safely operate HIAB crane trucks according to BC Association for Crane Safety standards.
- Transport and deliver materials to residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
- Secure loads and ensure safety during transit and at delivery locations.
- Maintain communication with the Shipping Manager throughout the day.
- Complete truck logs and delivery documentation accurately.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
**Qualifications & Skills**:
- Valid Class 1 or 3 license with HIAB certification is needed
- Understanding of HIAB operation, highway safety, and risk management.
- Ability to evaluate site conditions and adjust crane operations accordingly.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and familiarity with remote controls.
- Knowledge of proper handling for various building materials.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs and pull 20 lbs of force.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and job sites.
Willing to work 8 or more hour shifts, five days a week, including some Saturdays (no Sundays).
Pay: $35.28 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
