Mobile Crane Driver & Operator

Reports to: Installation Supervisor
Location: Field
Exemption Status: Non-exempt
SUMMARY:
Driving company truck from main location to job sites and suppliers. Pick up and deliver materials and supplies. Load and unload materials and supplies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Pick up, deliver, load and unload materials and supplies between vendors, company warehouse and job sites.
- Ensure all pick-ups and deliveries are in the proper quantity and type of material.
- Maintain accurate records of pick-ups and deliveries.
- Accurately complete all required forms, receipts, and documents.
- Perform safety inspection of company trucks.
- Ensure loads are properly and safely secured.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance such as cleaning and fluid checks.
- Promptly report any mechanical problems on trucks.
- Operate forklift in company warehouse.
- Operate mobile crane in safely and accident free.
- Maintain positive customer service relations with vendors and customers.
- Maintain a clean driving record.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Move materials and supplies in warehouse as directed.
- Perform cleanup of warehouse, yard and help others.
EDUCATION/SKILLS
REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid, current and clean driver’s license/record.
- Valid Class 5 with Air Break license and driver’s abstract.
- Certification A in crane operation.
- Ability to safely operate company trucks, while seated for possible long periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds of materials and supplies.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime.
- Ability to maintain positive customer service relations.
- Good writing, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
- Minimum 1 year commercial truck driving experience.
- Minimum 2 years of mobile crane operating experience.
- Experience in the construction industry.
- Forklift experience preferred.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None.
WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT:
Primarily warehouse and outdoors environment with extensive day travel possible throughout state.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Eight (8) to ten (10) hour workdays Monday through Friday of each week, with potential for overtime and Saturday work.
