Water Truck Driver

**Job Summary**
Responsible for filling the truck with water and obtaining alternate supply if normal source is not available. Other duties include loading and unloading water at local facilities, conducting pre-trip checkup and inspecting equipment before operating to ensure safe working condition, and performing minor service work to the truck.
**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
- To haul water from water source to worksite as often as required.
- Communicate with operators to ensure production runs smoothly.
- Fill water tank on equipment as required.
- Daily inspection of operation, valves, pumps and hoses.
- Wash slurry off the road / vehicles.
- General mechanical skills.
- Assist slurry truck washout as needed.
- Check equipment daily.
- Wear P.P.E. as required.
- Work in compliance with all safety practices, procedures, work site and traffic laws.
- Provide support to successful completion of construction and engineering work on the development site.
- Respond to signals and directions by staff and work in coordination with them.
- Maintain proper coordination and cooperation with the road and transport system while driving/working, so that normal activities with are mínimally disrupted.
- Perform other related duties that may arise from time to time.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Class 5 drivers license with valid air brake endorsement(s) and good driving record. Standard experience is an asset.
- Mobilization from job to job with complete inspections, logs, & fuel reports.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations & job specific safety practices.
- Knowledge of pumps, pipe fitting, and weight distribution.
