Here's how a District Human Resources Advisor for our Calgary office contributes to our team:
**Responsibilities**:
- Leads and advises on human resources and professional development programs, policies, practices and compliance for designated employee groups.
- Develops and implements recruitment plans with effective sourcing strategies.
- Participates in district human resources and professional development planning, leading the development and execution of district-level projects and initiatives.
- Provides guidance, coaching and training on all aspects of career management.
- Advises supervisors on employee relations, compensation, recruitment, performance improvement, workforce planning and training programs.
- Assists with local market research and analysis for annual compensation reviews and coordinates the salary/bonus review process for client groups.
- Cultivates strong, customer-focused relationships.
- Assists with the student program strategy for the district.
**Qualifications**:
- Postsecondary diploma or degree in human resources or a related discipline.
- Preferably pursuing an HR designation.
- 5 years of progressive experience in human resources.
- Proficient in handling confidential information with tact and diplomacy.
- Strong ability to research, analyze data and make informed recommendations.
- Capable of working independently or collaboratively in a complex organization.
- Seen as a trusted advisor, experienced in coaching both employees and supervisors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines effectively.
