We are looking for a freelance Infrastructure Specialist to work in Burlington, Canada.

**Tasks and Activities**:
The scope of work will include:

- Being responsible for the installation, maintenance, and monitoring of technologies including LAN/WAN, SCADA, Telecom, Telephony, Access Control, CCTV, etc.
- Hands-on implementation, upgrading, troubleshooting of infrastructure.
- Leading projects to plan, design, implement, support and document best practices.
- Proposing and implementing system and infrastructure enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.
- Interacting with senior internal and external personnel.
- Working as part of a multifaceted, multidisciplinary team spanning physical and digital infrastructure and cybersecurity.

**Skills and Experience**:
The following skills and experience are mandatory:

- Diploma or degree in a related field (computer sciences, information technology, engineering, etc.) or a combination of experience and other education or professional development.
- A minimum of five years’ experience working as an IT infrastructure engineer or specialist.
- Experience working as an IT infrastructure engineer or specialist in major construction (non-residential).
- Experience managing teams of five or more people.
- Experience related to project management (ex. project administration, project coordination, etc.).
