**Who We Are**
At Dieter’s we have been manufacturing quality truck accessories since 1976. We are proud to have become one of the most respected names in the truck aftermarket industry by listening to our customers and then delivering a product that not only meets expectations - but exceeds them. Our dedicated team of craftspeople have access to state-of-the-art equipment and use only the best quality stainless steel to design, develop, and manufacture the parts that have built our brand.
But beyond what it says on our website, we’re a Company that truly cares about the people who work with us and wants the best for them - and their families. We’re a Company where the Executive Team members are the first to step up and assemble parts, grind welds, and come in at midnight to barbeque for the night shift. We make decisions not only for the continued success of the Company but also for what we believe will support the best interests of every Dieter’s employee.
**The Opportunity**
We are looking for a forward-thinking individual to lead our Purchasing Department. In this role you will work closely with the Controller to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate the Purchasing department. You will build collaborative relationships with your direct reports, as well as the Production Team as you strive to ensure that the department operates with both effectiveness and efficiency.
**The Ins and Outs of the Job**

- Working closely with the Controller to engage your team in striving collectively towards the goals of the department, and the vision and mission of the Company.

- Developing and working towards Key Performance Indicators.
- Communicating directly the production group on a continuous basis to ensure that raw materials, parts, goods, and other services are procured and received for their department to prevent backorders.
- Ensuring raw materials, parts, and components are purchased within a designated lead time, and monitor on-time delivery status resolving issues as needed.
- Sourcing and reviewing reliable, quality, and competitive suppliers while maintaining effective relationships with the Company’s existing suppliers.
- Evaluating and analyzing the cost and quality of goods and services.
- Negotiating long term contracts that include volume discounts, rebates, and other incentives.
- Working with the Controller, Plant Coordinator, and Purchasing Administrator to develop, implement, and maintain an efficient inventory control system.
- Once in place, assuming the responsibility for managing an inventory store of shop supplies, hardware, small tools, and Personal Protective Equipment.
- Monitoring inventory levels and assisting in coordinating and completing inventory counts on a timely basis.
- Making inventory adjustments in the ERP system based on counts.
- Working with the Quality Manager to ensure that all ISO and IATF standards are met as it relates to your departments.
- Working in a way that continually meets the duties of a Supervisor as defined by the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Other duties and responsibilities as needed
**Who You Are**
Your education and career path are likely to have culminated in:
- Post secondary education in a Purchasing or Supply Chain disciple AND/OR sufficient experience to have gained the necessary knowledge to be effective in this role.
- 4 or more years of Purchasing, or supply chain job-related experience in a manufacturing environment.

- Experience with PSI or another fully integrated ERP system.
- A high level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite - especially Excel.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
As a unique individual you:

- See and appreciate people for their distinctive abilities and life experiences
- Understand that open, honest, and timely communication can solve 95% of problems before they become bigger issues - meaning that you can have the difficult conversations when it’s necessary
