**Tapagria Spanish Tapas Restaurant**
We are a Spanish Tapas style restaurant and bar. Our goal is to bring authentic Spanish dishes and a vibrant dining experience to the suburbs of Toronto. Some of the features will include an open kitchen, fresh seafood, private dining, imported ingredients, and sangria menu.
**Summary**
This is a position managing two restaurants, Tapagria and a sister restaurant. As a restaurant manager you will in all aspects of running the two restaurants on a day to day basis including interviewing, hiring and training staff, inventory management and stock control, dealing with the guest complaints, developing relationships with event organizers and promoting event space.
As the restaurant manager some of your key duties and responsibilities would include:
- Staff development - starting with interviewing, hiring and training
- Opening and/or closing the restaurant
- Making sure the labor budget is being met by close monitoring
- Making sure that the service standards in the restaurant are being followed
- Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation/guidelines
- Overseeing stock levels and ordering supplies needed
- Handling customer inquiries and complaints
- Handling administration and paperwork
- Making improvements to the running of the business and developing the restaurant
- Event space promotion and sales
**Experience and Skillset Preferred**:
- Previous experience as a restaurant manager
- Excellent knowledge of all front of house positions
- Excellent customer service skills
- Being able to adapt and work in a very fast paced environment
- Written & oral English skills
- Teamwork skills and leadership
- Communication skills
- Problem solving skills
- Commercial awareness
- Smart serve
- 3 years experience in hospitality
**Beneficial attributes**
- Knowledge of Italian/Spanish cuisine/wine/beer/spirits
- First Aid/Food Handlers Certificate
- Previous experience of opening the restaurant
- Knowledge of Ontario employment laws
- Health & safety guideline knowledge in the restaurant industry
- Experience with word and excel
**Salary**: $70,000.00 per year
