Here's how a Building Systems Coordinator for our Ottawa office contributes to our team:
**Responsibilities**:

- Assist project team with coordination of building systems trades for compliance to drawings, specifications, quality, and schedule.
- Assist with coordination drawing process.
- Reads and understands the building systems trade contractor quality-management programs. Witnesses on-site field testing and records results.
- Assist project team with building systems commissioning document deliverables.
- Attends management and architect meetings related to building systems.
- Adheres and supports internal safety programs.
- Effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Develops and maintains strong customer focused relationships with all stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:

- Tradesperson or post-secondary diploma/degree in a related discipline (e.g., mechanical, electrical, controls).
- 1 year of experience in a construction environment preferred.
- Eligible for secret clearance (Secret-Top Secret Level).
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, specifications, and drawings.
- Knowledge of construction process, including sequencing and temporary service requirements for projects.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work in a face-paced environment.
- Planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks with conflicting deadlines, and delegate tasks.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
