**Roof & Building Envelope Consultant**

BTC Group is a Building Science Engineering firm with immediate openings for a ‘**Bilingual** **Roof & Building Envelope Consultant’ **to meet our growing project needs in our Ottawa/Eastern Quebec based divisions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct Building Envelope Investigations and field reviews to determine repair options;
- Inspection of a variety of systems which may include roofing, curtain wall systems, masonry, stucco, windows insulation and ventilation, parkades, and below grade waterproofing,;
- Write summary and technical reports;
- Prepare Plans and Specifications, tender and contract documents and cost proposals;
- Perform building condition assessments (Technical and Performance Audits, Reserve Fund Studies);
- Quality Assurance to ensure project deliverables and quality standards are achieved;
- Manage and coordinate local and national projects;
- Adhere to company and client safety practices and policies at all times.

**Education & Experience**:

- In-depth knowledge of building materials and construction methods for design and repairs of roofs and building envelopes;
- Ability to quickly identify and understand project issues and solutions;
- Excellent communication skills including strong verbal, written skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);
- University degree in Civil Engineering, Building Science, Diploma in Architectural/Engineering Technology or relevant project management experience required;
- P.Eng, Stamped in Quebec, or eligible within the next year
- Valid Driver’s licence

**Salary**: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
