Greenbelt Environmental Services is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about environmental stewardship and possess a strong foundation in accounting principles.
- **Invoice Processing**: Handle the processing of incoming and outgoing invoices, ensuring timely payments and proper documentation.
- **Financial Record Keeping**: Assist in maintaining accurate and comprehensive financial records, including invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
- **Data Entry and Management**: Accurately input financial data into our accounting software. Ensure that all entries are up-to-date and correct.
- **Reconciliation**: Assist in reconciling bank statements and accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- **Expense Tracking**:Track and categorize company expenses, and assist in the preparation of monthly and annual budgets.
- **Financial Reporting Support**:Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal financial policies.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with the accounting team to streamline accounting processes and improve financial management.
- **Ad Hoc Tasks**: Perform other related duties as assigned, which may include participating in environmental initiatives and projects.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Quickbooks and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A passion for environmental conservation and sustainability is a plus.
