Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following;
- Provide exceptional care for all children from parent drop-off to pick-up.
- Support, plan and lead appropriate emergent programming based on Summit’s foundational components.
- Dedication to supporting the growth and healthy development of children that encourages an appreciation of learning and discovery.
- Observe and document children’s development in both group set-up & one-on-one interactions.
- Ensure health and safety of children in assigned groups.
- Build positive relationships with parents, children and co-workers.

Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to create a nurturing and inspiring environment for kids ages 6 months to 5 years.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
- Clear Criminal Record Check including that of Vulnerable Sector Search.
- CPR and Standard First Aid Level B or C Certification.
- Alberta Child Care Certification Level 1, or a willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to work as a team and collaborate with co-workers to create a great culture and work environment for everyone.

Compensation Includes:

- $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
- Government Wage Top up - Our Summit Start programs are registered and hence our employees are eligible for wage top-up based on their ECE level.
