We are looking for a professional and enthusiastic, permanent HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR, to work full-time in our Edmonton office. The Edmonton office is conveniently located just off the Anthony Henday ring road, on Edmonton's East side. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resource Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the organization's HR programs are running smoothly. The HR Coordinator will support day to day HR operations and will be accountable to all administrative and planning projects within the HR
Department. The HR Coordinator will provide administrative support, advice and coaching in onboarding, employee relations, recruitment, performance management and on-going projects within the division.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Recruitment_
- Prepare job postings and advertisements, using online, social media and print resources
- Manage company social media pages to promote employer branding and job postings
- Review and compare job applicants to position descriptions and requirements
- Conduct detailed and appropriate pre-screening interviews and reference checks to provide valuable information to Hiring Managers
- Enter and maintain n database of applicants and job postings for retrieval and review
- Assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of Job Descriptions and company policies and procedures
- Onboarding_
- Review employment agreements, which minimize exposure to the organization, while promoting positive and lasting work relationships with applicants
- Attend employee start-up meetings and provide support to the Human Resource Generalists during the start-up activities
- Distribute employee benefits and pension materials, including change forms, direct pay cards, and handbooks
- Employee Relations_
- Monitor and coordinate the winter benefit program with the Benefits and Pension Specialist
- Assist the HR Generalists with the development, implementation, and monitoring of training programs organization-wide
- Draft employee and company communications
- Gathering and sorting raw data for statistical purposes
- Must ensure a solid understanding of, and comply with the principles of the company’s Code of Ethics
- Develop and organize training manuals, education materials and any other items used for training
- Maintains employee personnel files and various HR databases, ensuring a high level of confidentiality
- Provide timely support with regards to employee inquiries
- Support the organization to promote overall employee satisfaction
- Assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of company policies and procedures
- Aid in the administration of promotional events
- Assist in planning and coordinating employee social activities/events
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of HR practices and developments within the organization
- Other Human Resource related duties, as required
**Requirements/ Experience**
- Completion of Human Resource s certificate or diploma program
- Working towards, or interest in obtaining a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) designation
- 1 - 2 years of related experience
- Ability to work overtime
