Heavy Equipment Technician (Truck Transport Mechanic)

We are a thriving, well known business located in Spruce Grove. Our company is continuously growing and expanding and now it’s time to add to our team
Reporting to the shop Supervisor, you will provide quality workmanship in the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of HD trucks and trailers. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week with a weekly on call rotation, with option for occasional overtime.

Role and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- General maintenance and repairs on Trucks and trailers
- Engine service, diagnosis and repair
- Transmission service, diagnosis and repair
- Commercial Vehicle Inspections on trucks and trailers
- Willing to train and mentor apprentices
- Models Excellent Housekeeping Practices
- Ability to keep detailed records of parts used, deficiencies and repairs on jobs

Qualifications:

- Experience specifically with Cummins Engines would be considered an asset*
- Highway Trailer and HD Truck experience required*
- Commercial Vehicle Inspection Certification required*
- Positive attitude and team player
- Demonstrates problem-solving ability
- Proficient with computers and diagnostic software
- Ability to learn in house programs
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding duties
- Safety contentious
- Has own tools relevant to the trade for daily use (shop owns specialty tools and equipment)

Pay: $40.00-$48.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
