Heavy Haul Supervisor

Reporting to the President, the Heavy Haul Operations Supervisor leverages their specialized knowledge of heavy haul equipment and the transportation of over-dimensional loads across Canada and the United States. This role is responsible for coordinating orders, scheduling resources, and proactively requesting necessary permits. The Supervisor ensures that all quality assurance steps are completed as orders progress from scheduling, through execution, and ultimately to invoicing. A key expectation of this role is the ability to anticipate and address issues that may arise from over-dimensional transport operations, all while ensuring strict compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the heavy haul operations team, ensuring effective delivery of services.
- Respond to requests from drivers, co-workers, and customers in a timely manner, providing
guidance and support as necessary.
- Enter, review, and revise, orders with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate the assignment of resources for the fulfillment of work, prioritizing efforts according
to business needs and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and monitor schedules to ensure equipment is provided with appropriate opportunities
for preventative maintenance.
- Anticipate the need for and manage the acquisition of permits for over-dimensional transport
operations.
- Maintain accurate records relating to the completion of duties, ensuring all necessary and
supporting documentation is provided for timely and accurate invoicing.
- Provide instruction and support to drivers, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of trip
documentation.
- Actively anticipate and resolve issues arising from over-dimensional transport operations,
implementing proactive strategies to prevent future issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Pay: From $110,000.00 per year
