Yard Coordinator

**ROLE**

The Yard Coordinator / Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible the safe operation, maintenance, and inspection of equipment, organizing and securing the yard, loading and unloading materials, and assisting with general site upkeep and minor repairs as needed.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Loading and unloading equipment and materials.
- Keeping yard organized and tidy.
- Assist with other tasks as required including minor repairs to buildings, snow removal and cleaning of equipment.
- Perform routine pre-operation inspection and maintenance on equipment.
- Fill out equipment logbooks.
- Clean, lubricate and refuel equipment.
- Ensure yard is locked and secured at the end of each day.
- Note: In addition to these duties personnel are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required in order to support the objectives of the company._
- Qualifications_
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Experience_
- Minimum of three years of heavy equipment operating experience.
- Skills and Knowledge_
- General knowledge regarding pipeline construction.
- Able to follow directions.
- Physically able to lift and handle heavy objects.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**

This permanent position is based at our Spruce Grove yard. Must be able to work Monday to Saturday, 7:00 am - 6:00 pm.

**REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS**

The Yard Coordinator / Heavy Equipment Operator reports to the Master Mechanic and Equipment Manager.
