**Job Posting: Outreach Worker, Registered Social Worker**

**Contract**:Independent Contract, minimum 3 months with possibility of extension.

**Hours**: Variable and flexible hours per week (daytime/evening/weekend).

Be a part of meaningful change in our community, offering a one of a kind support to families falling between the cracks of social services. An RSW Outreach Worker is responsible for supporting a caseload of families that include children with disabilities or complex needs and attends sessions in-home. We are excited to offer ongoing supervision and mentorship from our expert clinical team and have available training.

**RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**:

- Nurturing positive relationships with families in high levels of distress
- Evaluate client conditions to determine the level of care and assistance needed
- Work with families within an adapted family centered practice model to come up with effective and realizable treatment techniques that will yield meaningful results
- Being part of an interdisciplinary team to work alongside families in new ways
- Be available Monday from 5-6pm for clinical supervision
- Be able to manage time and schedule within allotted hours
- Be comfortable using video conferencing software to connect with clients
- You will be required to meet families within their homes

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Post-secondary degree in social work **(mandatory)**:

- Be a registered social worker in Manitoba **(mandatory)**:

- Experience and expertise managing aggression
- At least one year of experience as a social worker
- Have a valid driver's license and access to a car to attend home visits
- Experience working independently and with mínimal supervision
- Effective interpersonal communication and listening skills
- Demonstrated initiative and skills in case planning, crisis management, and programming
- Knowledge and understanding of youth development, family centered-care
- Experience working in cross-cultural settings
- Clear and current Criminal Record Check Clear and Child Abuse Registry Check
- Indigenous helpers society certification _(preferred)_
- Experience using Owl Software, Google Suite _(preferred)_
- Have lived experience with children/youth with differences in a caregiving role _(preferred)_
- Experience supervising less experienced staff - practicum and summer students _(preferred)_
- Knowledge of neurodiversity and complex neurology _(preferred)_
