**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Under the direction of the Resident Service Manager, the Social Worker provides services to the residents of Golden West Centennial Lodge. The Social Worker functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team. The Social Worker adheres to the Manitoba College of Social Works regulations, the Resident Bill of Rights, and the Mission Statement of Golden West Centennial Lodge.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor of Social Work, or equivalent as determined by college.
- Active member of Manitoba College of Social Work.
- Two years of recent and relevant experience preferred.
- Specialized Knowledge in Gerontology, Dementia Care and Resident Centered approach.
- Experience in Long Term Care Setting.
- Ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships.
- Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A Collaborative team approach with all managers and staff. Creating a working climate that is positive and mutually supportive.
- Ability to practice independently and with minimum supervision.

Supports the Mission, Vision, and Values of Salvation Army Golden West Centennial Lodge.
- Demonstrated strong commitment to the profession of Social Work and the Canadian Association of Social -Work (CASW) Code of Ethics and the Manitoba College of Social Workers Standards of Practice.

**This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search). Child Abuse Registry check and Adult Abuse Registry check as conditions of employment.**

**Position Hours**:Permanent Part time 0.5 EFT

**SALARY/GRADE**: Pay Band 5

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $25.31 per hour
