Project overview:

- The Ontario Line is a 15.6 km stand-alone rapid transit line that will connect the Ontario Science Centre to Exhibition / Ontario Place.
- The Ontario Line South (OLS) project, is a design-build and finance contract for the 6 km southern portion of the Ontario Line, from Exhibition / Ontario Place to the Don Yard portal (west of Don River)
- The scope of the Project includes the design, construction, and handover of all tunnels (twin tube of 6 km each), 7 stations (turnkey for: 1 station at grade and 6 underground stations) and civil works

WE ARE HIRING AN EXPERIENCED ESTIMATOR F/M

What you will do:
Estimate the costs of the portions of the works, in details and in a timely manner; the costs’ estimates shall be detailed and organized to get a rapid understanding and validation from the Project Team management and the Project Sponsor team.

Concretely, your tasks will be:

- Analyze the risks, uncertainties, opportunities of the works
- Obtain, review, analyse and compare the offers and quotes from subcontractors and/or suppliers
- Establish and analyse the costs ratios of the project
- Make a costs’ estimate synthesis for each new costs’ estimate
- Make a costs’ estimate follow-up table
- Ensure a proper coordination with the project team to establish the most accurate possible costs estimate of the works
- Follow specific KPIs to track the progress and efficiency of the estimating tasks, being part of the changes’ management processes
- Attend coordination meetings with construction and technical teams; make site visits to integrate adequate site practicality

Who we are looking for:

- 5 years of professional experience in estimating in the construction industry
- Experience in heavy-civil work
- Experience in design and build projects (and PPP projects)
- Proactivity to get and to access the necessary input data
- Excellent presentation and communication skills in English
- Thoroughness and reliability
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- French and/or Spanish language skills is/are a plus
