Quality Assurance Analyst

In supporting our tremendous growth, we are looking to hire an experienced **Quality Assurance Analyst **to lead and conduct testing activities across various client implementations.

The QA Analyst is responsible for testing various implementations of the CompTrak SaaS solution, including defining and executing test cases and test plans, logging defects and ensuring on-time delivery.

**Description of work**:

- As part of the QA team, your primary responsibility will be to develop test cases, scenarios, plans and scripts and execute them against test and UAT environments
- Reproduce and investigate bugs while documenting your findings in Azure DevOps with clear and concise steps and other pertinent information
- Present and clearly communicate the test artifacts you have created to development and product teams prior to and during execution cycles
- Create regression test plans - run full and partial end-to-end regressions to ensure quality before each release
- Execute test cases efficiently and record results using Test Plans module within Azure DevOps
- Create and sufficiently detail defects in Azure DevOps then monitor and retest these work items accordingly
- Engage with internal stakeholders to improve quality of software and processes
- Report outstanding issues and risks to release schedule to the QA manager proactively
- Coordinate and facilitate bug triage and other meetings as required
- Manage and “time-box” testing activities accordingly while operating in an agile and sprint-based development environment
- Be involved early in the SDLC and ask meaningful questions to ensure requirements are properly understood and testable
- Engage in testing activities for multiple projects at once while maintaining poise and focus
- Provide sprint analysis from testing and quality standpoint using metric evaluation tools
- Assist with training and on-boarding of new employees as required
- Be CompTrak’s gatekeeper of quality and be accountable for QA sign-off prior to releases to production
- Contribute to CompTrak’s long term vision and strategy for QA and Test Automation
- Look for opportunities to get test automation and quality practices into the product development process

**Requirements**:

- 4+ years experience using SQL databases and database tools such as MS SQL Server Management Studio
- Familiarity with our.NET technology stack: ASP.NET Razor pages, C#, jQuery, Javascript, HTML and Git
- Experience working with software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum or Kanban
- Experience with interpreting requirements and technical specifications and quickly turning them into testable artifacts
- Highly analytical mindset, with an ability to identify issues and communicate them clearly in both verbal and written capacities
- Self-motivated and independent with great time-management and multi-tasking skills; ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Commitment to delivering value and understanding how your work affects the company goals and mission
- Experience working with Azure DevOps and Test Plans module (preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering (preferred)
- Experience working with automation tools such as Selenium and knowledge of the automation framework (preferred)
- Experience with compensation management software (preferred)

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$87,000.00 per year
