Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior QA Analyst to join a growing software quality assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end testing of web, desktop, mobile, and cloud-based applications to ensure the delivery of secure, high-quality software. You will be hands-on with both manual and automated testing processes, support hardware integration testing, and play a key role in developing and improving testing strategies and best practices. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical skills, leadership capabilities, and a passion for quality and process optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct manual and automated testing across web, desktop, mobile, and cloud applications
  • Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and documentation for both new and existing functionalities
  • Perform various types of testing including performance, load, security, usability, and compatibility testing
  • Collaborate with development, menu, and QA teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver high-quality software
  • Write complex SQL queries for testing and validation purposes
  • Support the testing of hardware devices and assist in root cause analysis of technical issues
  • Oversee software releases, deployments, and regression testing cycles
  • Provide 4th-tier support for menu, software, and hardware-related issues
  • Mentor junior team members and offer technical leadership on best practices and QA processes
  • Participate in daily prioritization meetings, task assignments, and peer reviews
  • Research and recommend new QA tools and methodologies
  • Engage in continuous learning and share knowledge with the team

Qualifications

  • University or College degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of QA experience, with at least 1 year in a senior or lead role
  • Strong experience with both manual and automated testing of client/server and cloud applications
  • Proficient with tools such as Selenium, TestComplete, Postman, Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL, and VMware
  • Hands-on experience with source control systems (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps)
  • Deep understanding of SDLC and STLC, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Skilled in writing and executing complex SQL queries and scripts
  • Experience with performance and security testing
  • Familiarity with hardware device testing and POS systems is a strong asset
  • Knowledge of network configuration (switches, routers) and system integration
  • Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and mentoring abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
