Quality Assurance Analyst

**Role impact**:
The Quality Assurance Analyst will play a key role to ensuring the delivery of quality business solutions to the organization. The QA Analyst will be working with the management team to help establish a framework, related deliverables, and tools for manual and automated quality assurance practices within the IT department. This role will ensure that all business solutions procured or developed and maintained by the Information Technology team are fully tested and adhere to quality standards. The QA Analyst will create and maintain test plans and test cases. This role will be required to work very closely with the Operations Teams to come up with innovative ways for testing ensuring greater test coverage.

**What you will deliver**:

- Play a key role to establish and maintain QA processes, deliverables, and tools
- Identify opportunities, risks, constraints, and action plan to continually improve QA practice within IT
- Work on multiple concurrent project types including: Cloud-Based solutions, custom development, and enhancements/support in desktop and mobile
- Participate in business requirements reviews and provide input on requirements completeness and testability
- Analyze requirements to drive test cases and E2E scenarios
- Ensure that all testing types are covered such as: functional, performance, stress, acceptance, system integration, etc.
- Maintain traceability between requirements and test cases to ensure proper testing coverage
- Define requirements for adequate testing data and prepare test data
- Develop and execute test cases (manual/automated) to ensure alignment to requirements, system reliability, performance and quality
- Conduct exploratory testing of new features and manual regression testing as needed
- Identify defects and errors, prioritize and facilitate defect triage to drive resolution
- Conduct post-implementation testing
- Provide quality assurance expertise and support to the business stakeholders with User Acceptance Testing approach, UAT plan and UAT scenarios development
- Provide testing status reports to management, clearly identify risks and recommend mitigation plans
- Maintain a strong technical and functional understanding of our product architecture
- Validate that business requirements are achieved during the user acceptance testing process
- Ensure corporate data is secured in accordance with IT security policies
- Maintain a good understanding of the organization’s business units’ functions and processes

**What you need to succeed**:

- Post-secondary education in the field of Business Administration, Information Systems, or other IT related discipline
- Minimum 5 years in QA Analyst role
- 2-3 years Digital QA experience (web and mobile)
- Quality Assurance Certification such as ITQSB is an asset
- ITIL Framework Certification
- Working knowledge of test-driven development methodology preferred
- Knowledge of project management methodologies including Agile and Iterative Development and SDLC
- Knowledge of test management tools including automated testing tools for Desktop, Web, Mobile
- Knowledge of the property management industry and core business process and operations is an asset
- Experienced in testing hardware/software integration, nice to have.
