**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
Our documentation team is growing. Documentation is a foundational building block for our team to achieve our goals and long-term objectives.

We are looking for an organized individual with strong communication skills that can combine their technical and IT knowledge with advanced writing skills to produce, update, and organize user manuals and knowledge-based articles, in additional to documenting and organizing business logic.

If you have strong experience in creating and managing user guides, developing standards and SOPs for technical documentation, we’d love to hear from you.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Create, manage, and publish user guides for tools used by internal staff
- Create and maintain a user guide knowledge base where users can easily find the guide they are looking for, while leveraging tools like SharePoint and Confluence.
- Review and update existing documentation, ensuring all changes are tracked.
- Document website business logic.
- Organize documented website business logic where users can easily find what they are looking for.
- Prepare Release Notes notifying key stakeholders of new functionality, with the ability and skillset to demonstrate this new functionality to stakeholders.
- Provide training to key stakeholders as required.
- Perform light software testing to ensure documentation accurately reflects functionality.
- Developing a standard for all technical documentation including templates and standard operating procedures.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in creating and managing user guides, documenting website business logic, and developing standards for technical documentation.
- Advanced knowledge of document and information management strategies, standards, policies, systems, and best practices; including records, information, and content management, to manage the development and delivery of a document and information management program.
- Strong computer knowledge in EDMS, particularly in Microsoft SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Knowledge of project management software (Jira) is considered an asset.
- An ability to prioritize your work and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross functionally in the business.
- The ability to read and understand technical documentation is essential.

Compensation $70,000 - $75,000

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (required)

**Experience**:

- Technical Documentation: 3 years (required)
- Creating and Developing User Guide: 3 years (required)
