**Human Resources Generalist (On Site)**

This is a 100% on site position. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will support the Dalton’s mission, goals, and objectives by providing guidance and support to our employees. Plans, organizes development and implementation of training programs and services; provides expert professional assistance and guidance to management on human resources, employee relations, training, wellness and related matters.

**Main Responsibilities**:
**Recruiting**
- Implement the recruitment and selection process; assure appropriate requests for recruitment are completed; review job descriptions for accuracy and update as necessary; compose and place newspaper advertisements and prepare job announcements

**Human Resources**
- Conduct employee orientations and exit interviews
- Research and compile data for various projects including classification and salary surveys, benefits and policy research
- Maintain Vacation Tracker spreadsheets for necessary personnel records
- Posting vacation requests on excel spreadsheet and posting on the vacation board
- Yearly Vacation Reconciliation
- Meet with potential trainers; notify employees of upcoming training and schedules employee attendance; maintain record of attendance for inclusion in employee file
- Preparation of employee review forms and review schedule
- Interpret policies and procedures, analyze complex problems and adopt an effective course of action
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Dalton staff
- Maintenance of confidentiality of critical records and information
- Arrange TB & Hepatitis Testing for employees
- Arrange annual SNT009 forms to be completed for Production employees - done monthly
- GMP VIAL Staff Yearly Eye Examination
- Putting the orientation package together for new employees
- Maintain Employee Manual, HR Policy Manual
- Review for Compliance

**Qualifications**:

- Principles, practices and techniques of public personnel administration, including recruitment, testing and selection, classification and job analysis, compensation and benefits analysis and administration
- Basic labour relations principles and practices, including contract administration
- Applicable laws and regulations
- Research methods and data analysis techniques
- Business communications principles and practices
- The uses of standard business computer software.

**Compensation**

Dalton will provide a competitive compensation package, aligned with experience, including a competitive salary and health benefits. This role will require the successful applicant to attend the Dalton office in North York.

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
