Position Summary:
Alpha Controls is currently seeking a Calibration Service Technician for calibrating a variety of instrumentation in our Markham lab, and in the field at customer’s facilities. Using your knowledge and proper handling techniques, you will work on a broad range of instrumentation such as temperature/humidity probes and measuring devices, data loggers, multimeters, gauges, calibrators, etc.

What you will be doing:

- Calibrating and servicing a variety of process & HVAC instrumentation
- Service evaluations
- Light repairs of instrumentation (e.g. fuses, boards, etc.)
- Provide and maintain exceptional service to our customers with outstanding quality of service and communication
- Completing customer files (make sure service was completed in accordance with customer requirements)
- Follow all safety procedures and practices at all times

Education and Experience:

- Instrumentation Technology Diploma or equivalent experience a must
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in calibration/service

What you bring to the table:

- Effective troubleshooting skills in solving technical issues
- Strong verbal/written communication skills and computer skills
- Demonstrate initiative, able to work independently, and be self-motivated
- Excellent customer service - outgoing, friendly, team player, positive attitude
- Organized, detail oriented, ability to multi-task
- Ability to deal clearly, concisely, and effectively with customers and co-workers
