**Responsibilities**:

- Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnosing and resolving equipment malfunctions and technical issues. This involves troubleshooting and using diagnostic tools such as multimeters to pinpoint faulty components. This may involve analyzing system logs, performing tests, and replacing faulty electronic or/and mechanical components. Soldering is also employed to repair or splice wires and cables.
- Installation: Installing and setting up analytical equipment at customer sites, ensuring proper electrical connections, calibration, and system integration.
- Preventive Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, calibration, and verification of equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Calibration and Testing: Calibrating and validating equipment according to established protocols and standards. Conducting performance tests and verifying the accuracy and precision of measurements.
- Training and Demonstrations: Conduct training sessions for customers and end-users on analytical equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Providing demonstrations to showcase equipment capabilities.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of service activities, including service reports, work orders, and equipment logs. Documenting equipment modifications, repairs, and upgrades.
- Customer Support: Providing technical support to customers, answering their inquiries, and offering guidance on equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

**Job Requirements and Qualifications**:

- College Diploma within the engineering or science field - e.g., electronics, chemistry, biotechnology is a plus.
- 2 years of experience in a similar position or experience as an end-user.
- Relevant work experience in customer service, technical support or laboratory environment exposure to LC (Liquid Chromatography) and GC (Gas Chromatography) instrumentation is a plus
- Previous instrumentation maintenance, wire diagram, electromechanical, preventative maintenance, pathology equipment or laboratory instrument repair experience is a plus.
- Verbal and written communication is clear, respectful, and timely.
- Excellent hands-on skills
- Valid driver license (Ontario Class G)

Pay: $27.00 per hour
