Talent Acquisition Specialist

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead and execute the recruitment process for manager level and below open roles; including determining the appropriate search strategy, posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, presenting offers, conducting due diligence, and tracking progress through all stages
- Own the master recruitment tracker in Microsoft Excel; keeping record and up to date notes on all active and closed searches
- Provide quarterly analytics of recruitment activity to the HR team as requested
- Create, review and improve job descriptions for open roles
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders by working directly with hiring managers to successfully fill roles and meet the needs of the department
- Vet and partner with external recruitment agencies as needed
- Utilize analytical skills to track and report on key recruitment metrics ensuring effective, efficient, and unbiased hiring
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition team on the internship program for co-op/student hiring with local universities/colleges ensuring constant engagement with schools and exploring opportunities with universities to attract new grads
- Ad hoc Talent Acquisition projects such as the annual review of recruitment process and policies, background check processes, and research into diversity initiatives
- Participate in industry networking events to continuously refine our best practices and ensure we are using up to date methods of recruitment
**Requirements**:
**KEY QUALIFICATIONS**
- 3 - 5 years of experience in recruitment and interested in building a career in talent acquisition
- Experience running co-op recruitment and working with career services departments for events/ engagement
- Must have strong experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and how to extract analytics
- Degree or post graduate diploma in HR, or another relevant field.
- Demonstrate initiative combined with drive, determination, and commitment to complete tasks from start to finish
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail and experience reading and reviewing employment agreements.
