Golf Teaching Professional

Focus of the position supports and assists the General Manager and the Associate Golf Professional in all aspects of running the Golf Operations on a daily basis with the goal of providing a fun and caring environment to help create special memories for our guests / members.

**DUTIES INCLUDE**:

- Demonstrates through their own behaviour the Service Culture Standards of Living Water Resorts in providing a fun and caring environment for our guests / members and fellow team members which in turn will create special memories.
- You are responsible for supervising and scheduling all golf services staff and volunteers.
- Ideally you will have a solid working knowledge of MS office and Chrono Golf POS; are working toward your professional designation and have excellent customer service skills.
- Responds to guest complaints and resolves them in a way that ensures the guest is satisfied, will return again and that every guest departs happy.
- Maintains and delivers a “no compromise” attitude towards providing the highest possible level of Hospitality, Quality and Value to the guest.
- Adheres to all of the mandatory written standards of operations, policies, procedures, manuals, oral instructions, employee handbook, collective agreement that is in place at Living Water Resorts.
- To be informed on and promote all club activities and services.
- Enforce all rules and regulations governing golf course usage.
- To oversee clubhouse cleanliness both indoors and outdoors.
- Assist in supervising the back shop golf team.
- Answering all incoming calls to the golf shop in a professional and friendly manner.
- Manage the club repair side of business.
- Has a general knowledge of the resort’s facilities and services.
- Adheres to all Health & Safety policies and procedures and works in a safe manner at all times.
- May perform other duties and functions as assigned based on business levels throughout the resort.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assist the General Manager & Associate Golf Professional in Daily Supervision of Golf Operation and being an integral part of the team
- Be responsible for the teaching program at Cranberry Golf Course
- Set-up lessons as needed.
- Provide Group Lessons & member clinic programming.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Member in good standing with the PGA of Canada
- Enrolled or completion of a PGM Program (preferred but not required)
- Motivated to succeed in the Golf Industry
- Golf Teaching experience
- Assist with merchandising and managing golf shop inventory.
- Ensures accurate entering of orders, sales, discounts, proper cash management and completes daily cash balancing.
- Ensures the cleanliness of the Pro Shop, rental equipment, stock rooms, and public areas, ensuring all appropriate health and safety regulations are met.
- Ensures proper opening and closing procedures are completed, including responsibility for ensuring proper opening and lock up of the facility.
- Desire to exceed customer expectations
- Responsible for assisting with the coordination of all member events
- Provide exceptional customer service with members and guests
- Monitor Outside Services staff and volunteers regularly to ensure a high level of customer service is being delivered consistently
- Quick learner and a creative problem solver
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be available weekends and holidays
- Being certified in SmartServe, WHMIS, Health & Safety is an asset.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Works the majority of the time outdoors
- Must be able to bend, reach, lift at least 30lbs
- Must be able to walk and stand for an average of 8 hours per shift
- Must be able to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
