**Type of Employment**: Full time, permanent, 6-7 days a week (as required); often extended hours depending on workload and priorities, and on-call when needed.

**Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Perform preventative maintenance on all building and mechanical and electrical equipment
- Maintain various farms, including installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment
- Troubleshooting and responding to maintenance calls at various farms
- Inspect, repair and lubricate machines and equipment
- Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools.
- Move machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
- Maintaining inventory of all supplies, tools, and materials.
- Complete and maintain all maintenance reports and records

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Must be mechanically inclined
- Must have good coordination and manual dexterity
- Knowledge of repairing and replacing defective parts
- Mechanical abilities in order to help troubleshoot production issues.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate any machinery breakdown, material concerns or shortages to maintenance, production supervisor or manager.

**Physical Abilities**:

- Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs.
- Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs
- Must be able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time.
- Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ˚C / 55 ˚F.
