Kingsville, Canada M&M Farms Ltd. Full time

This is a family-owned greenhouse operation with a new 25-acre facility located in Kingsville, Ontario. Growing and Packing different varieties of grape tomatoes.

We are looking for a responsible person to operate and perform duties as Assistant Grower.
- **Responsibilities Include**:_
- Daily meetings with the management team to plan, assign, and report on crop objectives.
- Create, compile, and process all reports relating to the crop as required by management.
- Under the direction of the Head Grower/Consultant, control the climate and irrigation system and monitor all Priva alarms 24/7.
- Monitor, order and mix all fertilizer/ acid tanks and ensuring proper disposal of containers while ensuring to maintain a clean & organized fertilizer room.
- Clean/maintain the irrigation systems, and report any issues to the Maintenance Manager.
- Monitor the effectiveness of pollination and communicate findings to the Grower/Consultant.
- Support the jobs of cleaning and disinfection of the Greenhouses at the end/beginning of each crop cycle.
- Assist with Food Safety and Health & Safety compliance reporting under the direction of Management.
- Assist labour manger with purchasing equipment and supplies.
- As Assistant Grower must be familiar with all the systems and procedures of the Greenhouse to be able to act as an alternative when a Grower, Labour Supervisor or packing supervisor is absent.
- Perform other duties and errands as assigned.
- **Skills and Qualification**:_
- High school diploma with 2 - 3 years of experience in agricultural environment in supervisory position.
- Applicant must have the ability to meet tight deadlines, work under pressure and have the following skills in order to qualify: Communication, time management, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
