**What will you be doing?**

As an **Early Childhood Assistant**, you will work side-by-side with Early Childhood Educators and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

- Maintain documentation, reporting and record keeping.
- Plan and execute weekly program schedules in line with children’s interests.
- Programming must be child directed, and teacher supported in accordance with “How Does Learning Happen” guidelines.
- Support children within the classrooms emotional, physical, or behavioural problems and help develop their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills.
- Maintain attendance, and health and safety checks.
- Support children through transitions in and out of the classrooms.
- Participate and interact in team meetings and workshops.

**ECA at Kidsville will need to have**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels with children, parents, and coworkers.
- Highly organized, with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong collaborator and team player.
- Ability to take initiative in and out of the classroom.
- Strong problem-solving skills.

**Job Requirements**:
Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) - must:

- Have ECA Certification (considered as asset but not mandatory).
- Be able to work shifts (7 am to 6 pm).
- Physically able to lift and participate with children (between 6 months to 6 years) in the classroom, indoor spaces, outdoors and provide personal care as required.
- Meet province requirements for childcare employment.
