The Educator will be responsible for the day to day program planning and classroom management in accordance with the centre’s policies and procedures. The educator ensures the physical safety and emotional well-being of all children in the classroom
**The Role**
The Early Childhood Assistant is responsible for educating, stimulating, influencing and caring for the children in their classroom environment. Their principle responsibilities include maintaining a high quality environment, assessing, observing and caring for the individual needs of every child, educating children in accordance to the designated curriculum model for their age group, maintaining open and honest lines of communication between parents and team members, and always exemplifying professionalism at all times
**Responsibilities**
- The primary responsibility of the Assistant is to coordinate in planning and implementing a program that provides for the optimal, physical, cognitive and emotional wellbeing of the children in his/her care.
- Works cooperatively as a team member, encourages others to do likewise and consistently maintains a positive attitude.
- Directs and participates with children in planned activities.
- Takes initiative in completing tasks without direction
- Effectively supervises children on all scheduled school walks, field trips and other outings
- Observe and document children's developmental milestones
- Is sensitive to parents needs and maintains a supportive relationship with them on a professional level while following center policies.

**Qualifications**
- An ECA Diploma or equivalent years of experience
- Up-to-date First Aid and CPR
- Current Vulnerable Criminal Reference Check Vulnerable Sector
- Up to date Immunization and 2 tiered TB test
- Strengths in organizational skills, communication skills, parent education, and leadership
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Confident and flexible professionalism
- Love of outdoors
- Tech savvy
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Casual
**Salary**: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
