_Customers Being at the Centre of What We Do_, this is a great opportunity to join a team that is at the centre of supporting and developing our Group Customer Business Development organization. Reporting to the Field Development Manager, Performers, the
**_GRS Performers Account Representative_** works closely with our national advisor network, Business Development sales and service team, providing support, tools and resources to help promote our small case group retirement value proposition with advisors. Working in a team environment, this is a great opportunity for someone who’s innovative and enjoys working through challenges and multiple priorities to get things done and has a strong technical knowledge.

This role is critical to the implementation of sales in the small case market.

**What you will do**
- Support all advisor channels in their business acquisition activities in the Group Retirement small case market (GRS Performers)
- Build and foster relationships with advisors across Canada with the goal of making these customers comfortable in selling Group Retirement and savings plans and see Canada Life as their preferred provider in the small case market
- Support the cross-selling initiatives between Performers business unit and Group Benefits
- Leverage relationships with field management, staff, and head office partners on opportunities, challenges and initiative assessment
- Contribute to working sessions with cross-functional teams to define and develop recommendations to address business needs
- Interacting directly with advisors to assist in problem resolution on issues crossing administration and business development

**What you will bring**
- Support all advisors to promote and facilitate the implementation of employee plan to small business owners
- Accountable for the management of the sales process from initial purchase to plan implementation
- Sales and Referral tracking; Following up on opportunities for additional business from Performers sales and referrals
- Previous group retirement administration experience is an asset
- Ability to effectively drive change where required or gain commitment on plans, process changes, and decisions
- Demonstrated ability to deal with complex and escalated issues
- Work as a change ambassador, is people focused and solutions oriented
- Working knowledge of group retirement; minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Solid technology skills; proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Self-starter with the ability to work well independently
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Outstanding customer service skills, communication, and negotiation skills
- Bilingual (English and French) is an asset
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist - Retirement Plans Associate (RPS), Life License Qualification Program are an asset
