**What You’ll Do:Leadership & Team Development**
- Organize and oversee daily activities of concrete crews, subcontractors, and equipment to ensure schedules and budgets are met.
- Supervise 3-5 foremen and up to 40 crew members, providing mentorship and coaching.
- Collaborate with HR on recruitment, training, performance management, and employee relations.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of timesheets, payroll logs, and other administrative paperwork.
**Operational Management**
- Review project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
- Interpret project plans and specifications to maintain compliance with customer and municipal standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams for seamless execution.
- Perform hands-on tasks when needed, including concrete grading, placing, and finishing, and operating equipment such as pumps and finishers.
- Step in as a backup for the General Superintendent when required.
**Collaboration & Communication**
- Liaise with customers, engineers, and project managers to align project outcomes with expectations.
- Provide daily updates to the General Superintendent on project progress and any challenges encountered.
- Foster teamwork and effective communication across internal departments and external stakeholders.
**Cost Management**
- Monitor budgets to control costs and ensure financial targets are met.
- Assist with procurement, material delivery coordination, and supplier relationships.
- Conduct job cost analysis and recommend strategies to improve efficiency.
**Safety Leadership**
- Conduct daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections, promoting adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the Safety department to ensure compliance with OH&S regulations.
- Lead by example in adhering to health and safety guidelines and promoting a culture of safety.
- Enforce safe work practices and address safety concerns proactively.
**What You’ll Bring**:
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent.
- **Experience**: 5+ years in a leadership role within concrete or large-scale construction projects, such as Senior Foreman or Superintendent.
- **Expertise**: In-depth knowledge of concrete operations, including placing and finishing in municipal, commercial, and rural settings.
- **Skills**: Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with construction management software.
- **Technical Experience**: Hands-on experience with GOMACO equipment is a plus.
- **Leadership**: Strong ability to manage large teams and oversee complex operations.
- **Communication**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a solutions-oriented mindset.
- **Licensing**: Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract.
- **Availability**: Flexibility to work long hours during summer months and occasional travel outside Edmonton.
Pay: $110,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
