Parsons well established Energy and Environmental team has an exciting **Project Manager **career opportunity for an environmental professional with a safety mindset and diverse experience in **Environmental Due Diligence **and excess soil management to support our growing Ontario team. Parsons offers a flexible work environment which will allow you to work out of any of our Ontario offices or under a hybrid (home / office) arrangement if preferred.
The primary responsibilities for this position will include consulting, project management, coordinating investigations and investigations, preparing and reviewing reports for industrial and public sector clients while working closely with clients, field staff, and other Project Managers. Specific job description includes but is not limited to the following:
- Manage Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments to CSA and O.Reg.153/04 requirements;
- Develop detailed Site Characterizations including soil, water, and air sampling programs;
- Conduct field safety audits and lead by example by encouraging compliance with Parsons’ safety culture;
- Prepare and support remedial design and site remediation that may including excavations, ISCO, bioremediation, permeable and impermeable barriers, and mechanical technologies (air sparge, pump and treat, dual phase extraction, etc);
- Assist a wide variety of clients with the implementation of O.Reg.406/19 Excess Soil Management;
- Prepare technical documents including proposals, work plans, reports, and client correspondence;
- Complete reviews of technical reports;
- Manage client accounts including direct client contact, project resourcing, project execution from proposal to completion, including budget and timeline management.
Experience with developing Environmental management plans, environmental permitting and monitoring related to construction, Hydrogeology Assessments (modeling and field investigations) and Designated and Hazardous Substances Surveys would be considered an asset.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in geo-environmental sciences, environmental engineering or equivalent education
- 10+ years of environmental due diligence experience;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Proven track record of successfully managing projects and clients;
- Strong organizational skills, proactive, and responsive to client and team requests;
- Professional registration may also be required (P.Eng or P.Geo);
- Comprehensive knowledge of Ontario environmental regulations and standards; and
- Working knowledge of emerging contaminants such as PFAS is considered an asset.
