The Krahn Group of Companies is a full-service multi-discipline engineering firm specializing in commercial, industrial and residential development design.
We are seeking a **Permit Administrator to join our Abbotsford Office**
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the coordination of drawings and documents needed for all permits
- Allocate resources to projects and tasks to meet permit submission deadlines
- Review with the Project Manager all working drawings submitted for permits for completeness and accuracy as per the executed contract
- Ensure schedules and documents are certified
- Coordinate all consultants’ drawings and information and pack into permit package as required by each municipality
- Courier drawings and documents to clients and consultants
- Check all documents to confirm we have included everything required by the municipality prior to having the CRP approve and initial the schedules
- Prepare final documents, schedules for the completion of a project
- Coordinate with the contractor to receive all the documents and certificates needed to close a project
- Prepare binder for final occupancy for all projects
- Review documents, reports, and correspondence prepared for peers and clients for format, content, grammar, spelling and make edits as necessary
- Review, evaluate, and distribute priority correspondence
- Complete expense reports and review timesheets for approval by Director of Building Design
- Responsible to take minutes and follow-up on tasks from meetings as directed
- Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an administrative environment and in a professional environment, ideally in consulting engineering
- Strong knowledge of general office duties involving customer services and procurement
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong organization skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Meticulous records maintenance skills
- Excellent telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills
- Effective written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization
- A self-starter and team player
- Strong customer service orientation
- Valid Drivers License
- Proven expertise in the following software - Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat;
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and fluent English language and literacy skills as it applies to proofreading documents for requisite grammar and punctuation with excellent attention to detail
