ABOUT
The Employee’s duties and responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to, the following:
- to retain all information regarding the Employer in the strictest confidence and not to disclose or permit the disclosure of such information in any manner, and the Employee will not use such information for personal benefit or permit it to be used for the benefit of any other person, either during the employment or thereafter; and he or she shall take all reasonable precautions in dealing with such information so as to prevent any unauthorized person from having access to confidential information
- to use or permit to be used as text-books and other instructional material only such as prescribed or authorized by the Employer;
- to work under the supervision of a certified teacher or other professional who is responsible for the conduct and management of the classroom or program, including planning, implementation and evaluation of the instructional program and student progress;
- to support students to maximize participation and learning in an inclusive environment;
- to supplement and extend the instructional and management functions of teachers and other professional personnel;
- to assist teachers in designing and implementing individualized or group communication skills, behavioural support, learning support, life-skills or work experience;
- to assist in the collection of data, including observations and recording of academic and behavioural performance;
- to attend to and provide personal care as authorized and required;
- to interact with students in a professional and effective manner.

The Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese (the CISVA) operates 46 schools - 40 elementary and 6 high schools.
