If you are a seasoned culinary professional seeking a platform to cultivate a lasting career, JT's Urban Italian in Buffalo, NY is currently seeking a **full-time Executive Chef** to enhance the dining experience for our esteemed guests. Our distinguished Italian restaurant requires a dynamic leader capable of inspiring and guiding our kitchen team to achieve success.

Your base salary starts at **$75,000 per year**, with room for negotiation based on your experience and skill set. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:

**YOUR IMPACT**

As an Executive Chef, you oversee our culinary operations to ensure the delivery of only the highest quality food. Your role involves the supervision of kitchen staff, guiding them through successful meal services, and providing necessary guidance. To maintain the seamless functioning of our kitchen, you actively monitor inventory levels, initiate supply orders as needed, and contribute to the recruitment of skilled personnel.

You develop and prepare new menus, with a focus on keeping our food offerings both fresh and captivating. Additionally, you play a pivotal role in the hiring and mentoring of new staff. You contribute to the creation of innovative menu items and the planning of daily specials, showcasing your ability to introduce novel and appealing culinary selections. Your creativity, culinary expertise, and exemplary leadership skills are indispensable to our overall success

**SCHEDULE**

You have a **5-day workweek** which includes weekends and evenings.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- 6+ years of management experience
- 2+ years of experience as an executive chef **or** 4+ years as a sous chef
- Proficiency in all stations and kitchen areas
- Proficiency in traditional and contemporary Italian cooking with extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques
- Excellent knife skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Cheerful outlook and ability to work well under pressure
