**Salaried Maintenance Supervisor - Langley (Pulp)**
CKF Inc. has five manufacturing facilities located across Canada and 2 facilities in the US with a total workforce in excess of 1000 employees. Our operations produce foam (EPS), plastic (APET) and molded pulp products, including disposable tableware, egg cartons, four-cup carriers, display containers, and a wide variety of other products for the food service industry.
We have an opportunity available at our Moulded Pulp Plant in Langley, BC for a Maintenance Supervisor with 2 years’ or greater experience in a hands-on process Manufacturing environment. Reporting to our Maintenance Manager, this full time position works with a dynamic team and is a great opportunity to gain exposure to all aspects of manufacturing. We are a growing company, offering a great many challenges and opportunities to develop professionally and advance your career in manufacturing.
A maintenance supervisor is expected to have fantastic organizational and time management skills. You will display natural leadership and possess fantastic communication skills with a great eye for detail.
**RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (But are not Limited to)**:
- A minimum of 2 years experience working in Manufacturing. Molded Pulp or Pulp and Paper experience would be an asset.
- Must have experience working with equipment suppliers, mechanical/electrical contractors, engineering consultants and others, to improve production line performance, reduce waste.
- Training in Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma would be an asset
- Experience directing Maintenance activities would be an asset
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to progress on projects independently
- Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
- Recruit, supervise and train maintenance technicians
- Supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, millwrights etc.)
- Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance
- Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
- Participate in coordination of projects
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Must possess a grade 12 completion certificate. Post-secondary education, preferably in Mechanical or Industrial Technology/Engineering or a related field would be an asset
- Previous supervisory experience would be an asset
- Must be able to demonstrate leadership qualities
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must have a strong commitment to health and safety
- Must possess effective troubleshooting skills
- Must possess competent computer skills
- Must have a desire to work in a team environment
